Plawhatch Farm

Plaw Hatch Farm is a 200-acre community-owned farm on the edge of Ashdown Forest. It has been a biodynamic farm for over forty years and is owned by a charitable trust. In total we farm close to 500 acres. We are a mixed farm with a dairy herd providing raw milk, cheeses, yoghurts and cream. We also manage beef cattle, sheep, pigs and laying hens. A garden of 12 acres provides a range of seasonally available fruit and vegetables.

As a biodynamic farm we look for people who are passionate about sustainable farming with a keen interest in biodynamics. As we are a mixed farm, no day is ever the same & there will be opportunities to work with cows, sheep, chickens, pigs, tractors and arable. Daily farm routines are shared amongst the team; we’ll train you to be part of these as well as work with you to explore areas of the farm you want to expand your skills on.

Plawhatch farm is currently not looking for new trainees.
